Why we chose it: A historically significant brass plaque saved from the historic Elders Wool Store at Port Adelaide before the site was salvaged and sold. This plaque once hung in the buyers’ room, commemorating members of the Victorian and South Australian Woolbuyers Association who made the supreme sacrifice during World War II. It stands as both a memorial and a tangible link to Australia’s wool trade heritage.
