Why we chose it: There’s a quiet elegance to 18th-century silver, and this pair of serving spoons exemplifies it beautifully. Hallmarked for 1781 and crafted by renowned London silversmith George Smith III, they are not only functional but historically significant. With classic Georgian proportions, fine detailing, and a graceful balance in the hand, they speak to the refined taste of the late 18th century. Whether displayed or used, these are pieces that carry the weight of craftsmanship and time — the kind of antique silver that collectors and enthusiasts seek out.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with light surface wear consistent with age. The hallmarks on both spoons are unevenly struck, but after careful consideration we are confident in the attribution to George Smith III and the 1781 date. A lovely, simple monogram is engraved on each spoon. Hallmarks remain legible. A superb example of Georgian silver.
